Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said the safety of passengers is the highest priority. The airline said it will offer more than 430 weekly flights to more than 65 destinations by mid-July. During this crisis more passengers have chosen to fly with Qatar Airways than any other airline, and we appreciate the trust they have placed in us. Cabin crew will wear disposable protective gowns over their uniforms as well as safely glasses, gloves and a mask. Passengers flying on Qatar Airways flights served by its B787, B777, A350, A380, A319 and select A320 and A330 aircraft can also stay in touch with their friends and family around the world by using the award-winning airline's on-board Wi-Fi and GSM service. The application of face shields on top of the masks could be as follows.

The airline said that parents flying with children should advise them "to keep wearing their PPE throughout the journey", although children under the age of two are not required to wear a shield or mask.

The Middle East carrier says it will be issuing fliers with protection kits - including face shields, hand sanitizer, a surgical face mask and disposable gloves - before they board its airplanes. "We will continue to lead the industry in terms of the services offered to our passengers, so they can travel with confidence".

The disposable face shield will be in two standard sizes - one for adults and other for children.

A modified service that reduces interactions between passengers and the crew inflight has also been introduced. Business-class meals are on a covered tray (opposed to table service), and the airline pre-wraps cutlery in sanitized conditions. The airline no longer has menu cards for the economy cabin (and are single-use in business class), and meals arrive sealed.
