Poco M2 Pro Launched; A Rebranded And Tweaked Redmi Note 9 Pro

When it comes to the leaked specs, the Poco M2 Pro appears to flaunt a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with a Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a punch-hole cutout.

Powering the device is a generous 5,000mAh battery and it supports 33W fast charging via USB-C. It has the same overall design and Snapdragon 720G chipset, the quad-camera setup with a 48MP main sensor is an exact copy too.

Popular smartphone brand POCO has just taken the wraps off its latest smartphone, known as the POCO M2 Pro featuring a high-end specs sheet and an attractive price tag. You will also find up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage, which is expandable up to 512GB via the dedicated microSD card slot onboard.

Poco M2 Pro comes in three variants - 4/64GB, 6/64GB and 6/128GB storage variants.

As per existing rumors and speculations, the Poco M2 Pro is believed to be positioned below the Poco X2 and is likely to be priced under Rs. 15,000. It is available in 3 colours - Out of the Blue, Green and Greener and Two Shades of Black. The phone uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS2.1 storage. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

For storage, the Poco M2 Pro goes up to 128GB while the Poco X2 goes up to 256GB, however, both have UFS 2.1 storage. The rest of the non-main sensors are unchanged, which consists of a 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and 2MP depth camera.

The battery unit is rated at 5,020mAh which is said to be the biggest on a Redmi Note device and supports 18W fast charging. The front camera is housed in a punch hole display with a 16MP lens. The 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model costs Rs. 14,999 and the top-end 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 16,999. But we should also point out that in many aspects, the POCO M2 Pro is the slightly modified version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. According to the Wi-Fi certification website, the smartphone is likely to run on MIUI 11 out of the box based on Android 10-based operating system. The phone was also advertised during the launch to be water-resistant, even if it doesn't feature an official IP rating.
