SMFH: ‘Empire’ Actor Bryshere Gray Arrested For Alleged Domestic Violence

American actor, Bryshere Gray, Popularly known as Hakeem, on the Fox drama Empire, has been arrested on grounds of domestic violence charged against him by his wife, Daily Mail reports.

On Sunday, July 12 at 10:15 p.m., police arrived at the scene of a Circle K gas station near McDowell Road and Pebble Creek Parkway to help a woman. She told police she'd allegedly been assaulted by Bryshere "for several hours" at their home in the area, even temporarily losing consciousness while allegedly being strangled by the actor before she was able to escape and reach the gas station for help. The citizen then drove the victim to the Circle K and called 911.

According to the Police, the woman had multiple visible injuries on her body and she stated that Gray strangled her at one point, until she passed out.

The Goodyear Police Department said 26-year-old Gray was booked Saturday, KPNX-TV reported. Gray is an actor on the TV series "Empire".

What's more interesting is that astronauts at the International Space Station (ISS) were able to take some pictures of the comet. NEOWISE has been visible for some time now, but the comet reached its peak Sunday, McClatchy News reported .

Officers went to the couple's residence located on S. 176th Lane, but Goodyear Police said Gray refused to come outside. After an hours-long standoff, Gray surrendered and was booked at Maricopa County Jail. The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital and later released.

Smollett filed a police report claiming that he had been attacked by two men while walking on the street late at night, who used both racist and homophobic slurs while assaulting him.

He faces a number of charges including assault, aggravated assault (strangulation) and disorderly conduct. They called 911, a press release later said.
