Napoli president bets on playing away from Camp Nou and attacks UEFA

Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted he's concerned about Napoli needing to travel to Spain for their Champions League clash against Barcelona amid a spike in coronavirus cases in the country.

"You hear huge fears from Spain and UEFA just ignores the issue, I'm calling them constantly but it's embarrassing".

"The match is scheduled to take place in Barcelona as planned". The victor will join quarter-finalist in Portugal.

UEFA confirmed this month that the remaining Champions League and Europa League round of 16 second-leg ties that have been postponed in March could be played in the stadiums of the home teams.

"I don't understand why we have to go to a city that at the moment has huge problems", De Laurentiis declared. This summer we played two, then we had a third in the first leg of the last 16 in the Champions League.
