Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan released from hospital after battle with COVID-19

His actor son, Abhishek Bachchan, who is still in the Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital with the virus, said in a tweet that his father has tested negative and will rest at home. Very humbled and indebted.

Junior Bachchan took to Twitter to inform their followers that his father has been discharged from hospital. He also appeared optimistic about his recovery from the disease soon and said that he would beat the infection and come back healthier.

Unfortunately due to some co-morbidities I remain positive and will continue to stay in the hospital, Abhishek wrote.

Meanwhile, Shehenshah is back home and is in solitary quarantine.
