The West Indies had won the first Test at Southampton by four wickets but had to face defeat in the second and third Test at Old Trafford to help England win the Wisden Trophy again.

"What an opportunity for them", stated Cook, who captained England's one-day side prior to being changed by Morgan in2014 "Whenever your time concerns bet England, whatever the side is selected, even if there are men rested or hurt, you have actually got to take this chance".

"Not only that, but because of the way the game in the Caribbean has been hit financially, they have taken a 50 percent pay cut".

"I've never really set any targets and I've learned a huge amount through my career, but what is pleasing me at the moment is that I feel so fresh and excited to play the game and I've done some technical work that makes me feel in a great rhythm", man-of-the-match Broad said.

The two fast bowlers will next be seen in action in England's upcoming series against Pakistan.

James Murdoch resigns from News Corp board, citing editorial disagreements
James Murdoch's decision hastens his disengagement from the family media empire, which grew from a newspaper group in Australia . But Mr Murdoch has previously criticised News Corp outlets, which include the Wall Street Journal , for climate change coverage.

England beat West Indies 2-1 in the first global test series since the COVID-19 pandemic suspended the sport in March, winning the third test by 269 runs on Tuesday.

"When they came to Old Trafford and England posted first-innings totals in excess of 350, West Indies simply did not have the confidence in their batting to compete", he said.

Vaughan further said that if England underestimates Pakistan based on their recent win over the West Indies, they could be in for a rude awakening. He is now placed at the seventh place in the list for most wickets taken in the Test format. But I'm looking for the next step that will improve me as a cricketer. "He takes wickets in clusters, he's a nightmare to play against".

However, Brathwaite conceded that the West Indies batting was a concern.

He added it was "the professional duty" of all of the players to think about ways to improve on their performances.
