Kelly Rowland On Transcending Beyonce's Shadow

Kelly Rowland knows how it feels to be compared to someone else.

Sebastian's older brother, 2003 Australian Idol victor, Guy Sebastian is Rowland's co-judge on the singing competition show, and Rowland assured Sebastian that she could relate to him. "That's bull", she said.

During a recent episode of The Voice Australia, Kelly Rowland related to her Team Kelly contestant, Chris Sebastian, on what it's like to experience standing in the professional shadow of a loved one.

Eventually, Rowland realized that no matter how she tried to avoid it, fans are "gonna compare anyways".

Rowland went on to admit that she would be lying if she said the anxiety didn't bother her and the sentiment lasted for quite some time.

The singer previously spoke to Fox News about balancing her life at home with her ambitious career.

"I call it the three F's", she explained.
