Kate Middleton sends sweet birthday message to Meghan Markle

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have wished Meghan Markle a "happy birthday" on their official social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram.

The Royal Family's official page posted a photo of Meghan with Queen Elizabeth along with the message, "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday!"

The Queen and the Duchess of Sussex's visit to Chester, in northwest England, was their first royal engagement together.

What sets the Queen's message apart, however, is the photo choice-or more specifically, the event at which the photo was taken.

"Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday", he wrote.

Recently, rumours had been swirling that Meghan and Prince Harry would be exiled from the Royal Family post the release of their biographical book which describes the couple's rift with the royals in great detail.
