Three shot, 1 dead at mansion party on Los Angeles' Mulholland Drive

The shooting happened at around 12: 47 a.m.at a house in the 13200 block of West MulhollandDrive In a video published by one partygoer to Instagram, about 20 gunshots might be heard.

Gunfire erupted during a massive party at a short-term rental mansion in Beverly Crest early Tuesday, leaving one woman dead and two others wounded just hours after police responded to calls from neighbors alarmed by the size of the crowd.

"Three adult victims have been located, treated, and transported to local hospitals", the LAFD said.

A third woman was sent to a local hospital with a wrist injury she reportedly suffered in her rush to escape the shooting, while a second man who was at the party checked himself into a hospital but then checked out.

The LAPD received a call about the large party on Mulholland Drive, near Franklin Canyon Park, about 7:30 p.m. Monday, according to the LA Times.

Lansing School District prepares for online-only learning
The Palm Beach County and Indian River County school districts are still waiting for the state to approve their reopening plans . Last week, the De Pere School District informed families they were anticipating welcoming students back to school in-person.

There were "several hundred people" at the party, ABC7 reported, but the LAPD told the network that no one at the event was breaking any laws. No names have been released.

Also a security guard at the party said that the party was thrown to celebrate a guy getting drafted into the National Football League, the player and the team he was drafted to have not been revealed.

"When the officers arrived, they did notice large amounts of people on the roadway and vehicles kind of blocking, double-parked and stuff, stacked on the roadway", Ramirez said.

Although officers impounded and cited some of the vehicles on the scene, they could not enter the premises to shut down the party without a warrant.

The company that manages the rental property said that it had advised the renters that the party was a serious breach of the rental agreement and asked them to vacate the property immediately, CBS Los Angeles reported.
