Robert Pattinson attempted to lie to Christopher Nolan about his Batman audition

Robert Pattinson ultimately won that particular race, and he's no stranger to having to keep quiet about a role, especially after starring in Christopher Nolan's mysterious new sci-fi movie Tenet. In an interaction with The Irish Times, the Twilight actor said, "It's amusing because Chris is so secretive about everything to do with his movies".

"I said I had a family emergency", Pattinson recalled about leaving the set of Tenet.

Robert Pattinson also previously revealed that he spoke to Christopher Nolan about The Batman, asking the director for advice, so we see since Nolan knew about the audition, Pattinson was able to freely speak about the role.

"It's amusing because Chris is so secretive about everything to do with his movies", Pattinson said.

Chris Nolan is known to be secretive about his movies, so the time Pattison was to go for a screen test he made up a ridiculous back-story along the lines of a family emergency. John David turns to me and said: 'Are you like a really good driver or something.
