Howie Mandel Gives an Update on Simon Cowell Following His Back-Breaking Accident

Sofía Vergara posted a photo on her personal Instagram with the rest of the judges of America's got talent, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, wishing him a speedy recovery, showing Cowell's empty chair and wearing face masks, "We miss our boss!"

The 60-year-old music mogul underwent a mammoth six-hour operation after he broke his back when falling off his electric bike on his Malibu property earlier this week.

Because of his accident, Simon will not be on Tuesday and Wednesday's live shows.

The live shows of the talent competition had to be postponed due to the coronavirus, although the pre-filmed auditions aired in spring as usual.

And speaking on Wednesday's This Morning, Simon's fellow BGT judge Alesha, 41, said she had her "fingers crossed" that he can appear on the show as she gave an update on his condition.

Now, as the live rounds prepare to make a comeback, Simon Cowell is slated to be absent from the first two shows as he is recovering from surgery after injuring his back. The unbelievably amazing Kelly Clarkson!

The singer jokingly commented admitted, "I have waited years for this".

She explained to presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes that Britain's Got Talent is set to resume filming "at the end of the month" with a "virtual audience" in place of the usual packed theatre audience. He tweeted: "If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time".

He went on: 'I have broken part of my back.

A source said that while it is a bad injury, doctors said he had been very lucky. "Thank you to everyone for your kind messages", the former American Idol judge wrote.

Cowell has previously thanked the medical staff who have helped him since his accident.
