A man allegedly ran up to the five-year-old while he was playing and fatally shot him in the head.

Sessoms was arrested the following day at a home in Goldsboro, The Wilson Times reports.

Darius Nathaniel Sessoms, 25, was arrested on Monday and charged with first-degree murder, online jail records show.

5-year-old Cannon Hinnant was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to officials, on Sunday around 5:33 p.m., officials received a call regarding a shooting in the 5100 block of Archers Road. Hinnant later died at Wilson Medical Center.

According to Cannon's family, he loved playing with his bikes, siblings, and animals.

With Kylian Mbappe not fit enough to start and Angel Di Maria omitted all together, the pressure was on Neymar to deliver. Their opponents Atalanta were able to finish their Serie A season after an extended break following the initial outbreak.

Cannon's family was shocked that Sessoms, who has lived next door for years, was capable of callously killing the young boy in front of his two sisters.

Local media reports indicate Sessoms is the child's neighbor.

The motive for the shooting was under investigation. "For a second I thought, 'That couldn't happen.' People don't run across the street and kill kids".

"My first reaction was he's playing with the kids", she said.

Labrant said the situation became all too real when she saw the child's father react to the horrific scene. "One minute he is enjoying his life, the next it all ends because he rode into his neighbors yard", Christina Prezioso, a cousin of Cannon's father, wrote on GoFundMe.
