Control Ultimate Edition Announced Including All Expansions

The free upgrade path to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 version of Control is only available for Control Ultimate Edition. In this FAQ, Remedy revealed that there will be no free next-gen upgrades for the standard edition of Control on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Instead, these upgrades are only available for players who buy the "Ultimate Edition" of the game.

Players and fans can join Remedy Entertainment's Creative Director Sam Lake and Control Game Director Mikael Kasurinen live on Twitch tomorrow Thursday, August 13 at 5:00 pm.

Publisher 505 Games and developer Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control will be coming to Steam as an Ultimate Edition that will be releasing later this month on August 27.

Any individual who needs to enjoy the game on the latest consoles, but wouldn't head acquiring started out on the recent-technology release on September 10, can select up the game recognizing they'll also get the upgrade. However, those owning the launch version of Control won't have the same option to upgrade to a next-gen version of the game, which is a particular bummer due to how poorly the game runs on base versions of current-generation hardware.

The Ultimate Edition comes with the full base game, Control's first expansion called, The Foundation, the Alan Wake-themed second expansion called AWE, as well as The Expeditions end game mode, Photo Mode, and all of the other content updates that have been released since the game's launch.
