Xbox Series X Release Date Confirmed, 'Halo Infinite' Delayed To 2021

Tim Longo, former Halo Infinite creative director, left 343 Industries nearly a year ago during what sources described to Kotaku at the time as a shift in leadership. Unfortunately, it'll be launching without Halo Infinite, which is being delayed until 2021.

Lee says that "it is not sustainable for the well-being of our team or the overall success of the game to ship it this holiday".

Microsoft has announced that Halo Infinite has been delayed from its planned Holiday 2020 launch to an unspecified 2021 release date.

"And with brand new console features like hardware-accelerated Direct X raytracing, framerates up to 120 frames per second, faster loading times, and Quick Resume for multiple games, playing will look and feel better, no matter which games you choose to play on day one". As the industry has moved more towards a games-as-a-service model, there's greater reason to create unified playerbases and ecosystems across titles and across console generations.

"Today I want to share an important Halo Infinite development update with the community", the developers wrote on the game's official social media accounts.

Some thought the Halo Infinite gameplay reveal trailer a couple of weeks ago was rather lack lustre.

With phrase three trials not yet completed and no scientific papers presented, its future in Australia looks shaky at best. Dmitriev said he and his family members had taken part in the trials and were vaccinated.

Currently, the only concrete information we do have is that the Xbox Series X console will be released in November.

The lineup is fine, probably average by launch lineup standards but hardly something that I think will kick the launch of the Series X off with a big bang.
