French footballer Blaise Matuidi will continue his professional career in the United States as American club Inter Miami signed him on Thursday.

French midfielder Blaise Matuidi is no longer a Juventus player as he has officially left the club for the Major League Soccer.

Juventus have announced the mutual termination of Blaise Matuidi's contract.

The 33-year-old will be reunited with former Paris St Germain team mate David Beckham, who is co-owner of Inter Miami. "My family and I can't wait", Matuidi wrote on Twitter.

"I made my decision a few weeks ago to join Inter Miami, rise to my friend David Beckham's challenge and win new trophies there".

But the Old Lady ensured they acknowledged Matuidi's three years of service at the heart of midfield and posted a heartfelt tribute on their official website. "He is an exciting and gifted player and a great person", Beckham said in a statement Thursday.

Racing Point appeals fine and points deduction
Racing Point believe it has been harshly dealt with, and maintains it operated within the regulations at all times. The FIA confirmed Racing Point , who argue they have done nothing wrong, were also appealing.

"To have a World Cup victor in our team, the only one in the MLS today, is such an honour for us".

The 33-year-old France worldwide made 133 appearances during his time with the Old Lady, with whom he won three Serie A titles, and one trophy in each of the Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup competitions.

He helped the club to a ninth Serie A title in a row this season, but the Italian giants crashed out of the Champions League in the last 16.

Matuidi is a veteran midfielder for France and was part of the side which won the World Cup in 2018.

He went on to make 133 appearances for Juventus and won Serie A in each of his three seasons with the club.

Inter Miami resume their inaugural season in the MLS on August 22 against Orlando City.
