Nintendo is increasing Switch production to 30 million units for the current fiscal year, Bloomberg reports.

Tucked away in a Bloomberg story about Nintendo ramping up manufacturing of the Switch in the lead-up to the holiday season is yet another mention of an upgraded version of the console, one that will allow for 4K visuals. According to sources familiar with the matter, the production increase of 25 million Nintendo Switch units has proven insufficient while assemblers are now operating factories at 120%. Nintendo is now increasing the production of the existing Switch models again to meet the demands of consumers.

In related news, Super Mario 3D All-Stars is now Amazon's 2 best-selling game of 2020, just behind the iconic Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The next iteration of the Switch could be 4K compatible.
