The teaser photos show that the new Hyundai Tucson's DRL is going to be directly integrated with the trapezoidal elements of the grille.

The Tucson's identity is emphasized through the "parametric dynamics" with kinetic jewel surface details, it explained. The carmaker will unveil the latest model of Tucson, a compact SUV, through its online showroom service on September 15. The front grille and how the half-mirror type DRLs are incorporated with it is very striking. The auto gets new front fascia that has half-mirror type daytime running lights that are integrated into the parametric grille. All in, the new Tucson has ditched the current-gen model's rounded, bulky appearance for a design that's decidedly more aggressive and in-your-face.

Although the new version will be available in both short- and long-wheelbase variants, only the stretched model will be sold in the United States on par with the American's taste for larger vehicles. Tucson offers best-in-class digital experiences that support diverse customer needs including connectivity. There's a hoodless digital instrument cluster and a flat, button-less centre fascia. Real-time air pollution levels are displayed on the Dual Automatic Temperature Control screen. The navigation system offers split-screen functionality that enables multi-tasking capabilities, coupled with enhanced voice recognition.

Hyundai has applied a new design concept to the upgraded model of the sixth-generation Grandeur that was launched in 2016, the new Sonata sedan launched previous year, the all-new Avante compact launched in April and the all-electric concept Prophecy. The other features included ambient lighting, Bose Premium sound system. smart air filter and purifier.

And, as mentioned previously, the 2022 Tucson will be available in two different-length wheelbases, depending on the market.

The Tucson will be offered with a range of powertrain options including a 2.5-litre petrol producing 187 BHP and 247 Nm and 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid or plug-in hybrid with 227 BHP and 350 Nm.

In addition, with the 48 volt mild hybrid system, the power of the gasoline engine option can be increased to 180 hp and the power of the diesel engine option up to 136 hp. Further more, the new Tucson will come in a long-wheelbase variant for select markets and get a N Line variant globally which will be unveiled later.

Some of the safety features include the Hyundai SmartSense safety feature suite, which comprises of Highway Driving Assist (HDA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) with pedestrian detection, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Blind-Spot View Monitor, Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Surround View Monitor, Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (RPCA), Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), High Beam Assist (HBA), and Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

Hyundai's all-new Tucson SUV will be available with plug-in hybrid, hybrid and 48v mild-hybrid powertrains when it goes on sale around the end of this year.
