Doing so is mostly non-problematic: Windows 10 version 20H2 is a minor upgrade over its predecessor with no major new features, and if you already installed that version of Windows, you can be done with this entire process in under 20 minutes.

If you're in the Release Preview Channel you will need to request the update - it won't be pushed out to you automatically - which you can do by going to Settings Update & Security Windows Update and choosing to download and install 20H2.

Today, Microsoft announced the Windows 10 19042.508 preview build release, which they believe is the final build of the upcoming Windows 10 October 2020 Update (version 20H2). When the month of October comes around, regular Windows 10 computer users will get the chance to update their devices to this newest version of the operating system. Microsoft says that the build will be simple, except users of the Windows Subsystem for Linux. It also enables the new Microsoft Edge experience, replacing the old app in Windows 10. Users must tap the share button and select the "Your Phone companion app" option in the Share menu.

Microsoft also said that it is also beginning to roll out the October 2020 Update automatically for Insiders who are in the Beta Channel. Without restarting your PC, your PC won't be fully joined. If you want to get an idea of what to expect, then users who are part of the Windows Insiders program should download the newest update.

Roadside fans still cheered them on, mostly through face masks, but were kept well away at stage starts and finishes. The birth of the Pogacar supernova is now set to ripple across the cycling galaxy for years to come.

For those who wish to fix this error in WSL 2 immediately, you can uninstall the non-security KB4571756 update. This can be seen in About Windows (winver) or in Settings System About.

If everything's ideal, now navigate to Settings Update & Security Windows Update Check for updates.

Microsoft has however confirmed that they are replacing the update with another update named "KB4576754" as many users have flagged the problem.
