It was not an easy game for the team as they came in getting ready to face Tyrod Taylor and had to change up to deal with rookie QB Justin Herbert and his first ever start in the league.

He went to the hospital, and Anthony Lynn said he learned he would be without his starter just after the coin toss, about 10 minutes before kickoff.

The sixth overall pick went 22-for-33 with 311 yards, a touchdown and interception.

It's unclear whether Herbert will get another shot as the starting quarterback this season; Lynn told reporters that he was still the team's starter if Taylor was healthy.

The Chargers converted one fourth down in two tries during regulation.
