Customize Icons and Change App Name in iOS 14

While some iPhone users may be quick to hold off on the iOS 14 upgrade to give Apple more opportunity to suppress the unavoidable rundown of launch bugs, early adopters are being compensated with this functionality.

The changelog for the iOS 14.0.1 and iPadOS 14.0.1 updates are the same, save for the iPhone 7-focused fix in the iOS update.

Messenger probably isn't the greatest option for your main messaging app, but being able to reset the default could let you choose apps that offer a better experience than Messenger or Apple's Messages. This update is also expected to fix the bug that was resetting the default mail and browser settings after a device reboot.

Other bug fixes are related to Wi-Fi connectivity, and the sending of email through certain mail providers.

Apple's iOS 14.01 update, however, corrects this issue.

Soon after releasing its latest software for its range of products, Apple is now rolling out the first minor update. If an update is ready, tap on Install and follow the directions on the device. Updates to macOS Catalina 10.15.7, and tvOS 14.0.1 have also been made available by Apple today.
