Mullens now has 231 passing yards against the Giants with San Francisco leading 23-9 in the third quarter.

San Francisco signed Mullens as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss in 2017, and the quarterback spent his rookie season on the practice squad.

He arrives after leaving the Seattle Seahawks at the end of the 2019 season and has 50.5 sacks from 91 career games.

The San Francisco 49ers weren't happy with the turf last week at MetLife Stadium, and then in a scheduling quirk they had to play another game there on Sunday. Garoppolo isn't expected to practice on Wednesday and it's unlikely Garoppolo will be ready to go just a week after the injury.

Someone inside the home flagged the deputies down, told them what happened and they found the intruder a few blocks away. As it stands, the woman is being hit with kidnapping and burglary charges, which can come with some hefty jail time.

"I'd be lying to tell you we're not going to be thinking about it or it's not going to go across our minds", Williams said on Wednesday, according to NBC Sports Bay Area.

Williams might be in for a surprise this Sunday when Mullens starts for the 49ers against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in place of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who's been ruled out with a high ankle sprain.

Jimmy Garoppolo, running back Raheem Mostert, and defensive linemen Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas all suffered significant injuries. Garoppolo was on point during the first half despite the injury, finishing 14 of 16 for 131 yards and two touchdowns.Mullens threw his first passes for the 49ers since 2018. He completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 2,277 yards with 13 touchdown passes and 10 interception while averaging 8.3 yards per pass.
