He paid no income tax at all in 10 of the previous 15 years, the newspaper also reports.

MA lawmakers on Sunday evening launched a series of attacks against President Donald Trump, accusing the former reality TV star of bilking American taxpayers and manipulating a tax code that benefits the wealthy and powerful following a New York Times report revealing that Trump paid zero income taxes for 10 of the last 15 years.

After The Times had turned down the request to provide the records, in order to protect its sources, Garten took direct issue only with the amount of taxes Trump had paid, the publication underscored. What's more, Mr. Trump has said the children were intimately involved in negotiating and managing his projects. And yet, despite every presidential candidate since Richard Nixon releasing their tax returns, and Trump saying he would "love" to do so, he has used every power available to him to avoid doing it.

In the first two years of being president, Trump has obtained an overseas profit of 73 million dollars, with much of that coming from his golf courses but some from licensing deals in countries including the Philippines, India and Turkey, the report said.

In a statement late Sunday, Stand Up America spokesperson Ryan Thomas said that "a man who uses dubious tax schemes to avoid paying taxes or lies to the public about his finances has no place in the Oval Office".

Speaking after Trump's White House press conference - in which the president dismissed the Times story as "fake news" - Harwood cited spending at Trump properties as evidence of his claim.

A 2019 investigation by the Times of Trump tax returns it managed to get hold of dating from 1985 to 1994 showed the president lost more money than nearly any other individual United States taxpayer in many years.

He also faces a hit of more than $100 million if he lost "a decade-long audit battle with the Internal Revenue Service over the legitimacy of a $72.9 million tax refund that he claimed, and received, after declaring huge losses".

It is worth mentioning that the offer is available only on 8GB + 128GB variant of Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus smartphones. For now, the hardware features of the phone reviews, have a triple rear camera fingerprint scanner and an infinity U display.

Despite reporting hundreds of millions of dollars in income, the New York Times found Mr Trump effectively erased his tax bill by reporting heavy losses across his business interests. "We've demanded Trump's tax returns for years because the American people deserve to know what he's paying-and the answer appears to be very little". The president in 2017 paid $145,400 in taxes in India and $156,824 in the Philippines, compared to just $750 in US income taxes.

During the first two years of his presidency, Trump relied on business tax credits to reduce his tax obligations.

However, many of Mr Trump's businesses including his golf courses and hotels - which have been handed over to his family during his presidency - have run at a substantial loss.

They're under audit and when they're not I'd be proud to show it.

"It's totally fake news". That's why the media has such a low approval rating now because of what they've done.

Trump supporters, however, were amused, if not impressed, by the Times' findings, arguing the report has revealed nothing illegal. "The stories I read are so fake".

Alan Garten, an attorney for the Trump Organization, told the Times that Trump "has paid millions of dollars in personal taxes to the federal government, including paying millions in personal taxes since announcing his candidacy in 2015".
