The Steam page lists the release date as December 31, 2020, but it's a placeholder.

In an update to the game's Steam Community page, McMillen said that development on the game is "about 90% done" and that it is "actually bigger than rebirth was to the OG flash game. its basically a sequel at this point".

Repentance is on track to launch by the end of this year.

According to McMillen, Repentance will be more than The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth was in its time in relation to the original game: "At this stage, it is nearly a sequel, and it is great, damn it!"

A full hearing in her lawsuit against Associated Newspapers is due to start in January. No, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be doing a reality TV show for Netflix.

Repentance has been announced as the "sequel DLC" for Rebirth that "you've always wanted".

The Binding of Isaac may have felt a little bit threatened by the recent releases of other phenomenal roguelikes BPM: Bullets Per Minute and Hades. Many thought the game was finished and returned to it every now and then for a dose of Isaac.

Further updates will be shared via Steam as part of an ongoing dev blog, just like the devs ran for the previous updates. Repentance now has a coming soon page on Steam, and can be wishlisted immediately. This will give more info on what's to be expected in this last update for Binding of Isaac. The posts should start sometime around mid-October and then carry on for the rest of the year.

Nicalis is still publishing Repentance, but after a damning report of internal racism and exploitation at Nicalis, McMillen says he won't be working with the publisher in the future. It's called Repentance and should be out later this year.
