SUNDAY SOAKER: Remnants of Delta to bring heavy rains to Baltimore area

"Locally heavy rainfall and isolated flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas will be possible".

You can expect 1-3 inches with rain with winds gusting between 30 to 50 miles per hour at times. We can expect fewer clouds Sunday through Wednesday with gusty wind and warming temperatures. Also, heavy prolonged rainfall and fallen leaves will likely cause flooding.

Several alerts have been posted for the New York City metro area including a Gale Watch and Gale Warning through Monday evening as wind gusts could top 40 miles per hour. Moisture from post tropical Delta will move along this boundary bringing rain to the area tonight and last through Monday.

Delta is forecast to continue weakening as it heads northeast toward the Mid-Atlantic states on Monday, the National Weather Service said.

There is a 60 percent chance of rain after 5 p.m., increasing to a 100 percent chance at night.
