Alabama's head football coach, Nick Saban, and the school's athletic director, Greg Byrne, both tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday and immediately began self-isolation.

The Crimson Tide are now ranked at No. 2 and are set to face the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday night.

"We took a sharp bet at Georgia +6, and the rest was us staying in front of the market", SuperBook manager and oddsmaker Eric Osterman said.

Alabama hasn't disclosed positive tests among players since the pandemic started, but Saban said Wednesday that they "haven't had any indication" of an outbreak among players. "He is continuing to self-isolate and will remain in the SEC testing protocol while being evaluated daily".

"I feel fine, so I'm not really concerned that much about my health, but you never know", Saban said.

Alabama's Nick Saban wants to coach his team remotely Saturday night against No. 3 Georgia, but NCAA rules prohibit him from during so.

Alabama planned to test everybody within the football program Thursday. The Tide is coming off a game against MS, which this week had an undisclosed number of players test positive. "If I wanted a play repeated, I said, 'Repeat that play".

The University of Florida has suspended their football activities, including their game against LSU this weekend, because of a rise of positive Covid-19 tests on the team. NCAA rules prevent a coach from being able to communicate with his staff and players while watching the game from another location. "Rule 1-4-11-b is very specific and allows only voice communication between the press box and the team area, therefore. a coach could not call into the press box or sideline for anything related to coaching purposes", the ruling states. Former USC coach and current Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian is the interim coach in Saban's place. And was obviously written in an era when COVID-19 didn't exist.
