Liverpool are set to allow Harry Wilson to leave the club on loan with Swansea in "pole position" to sign the winger ahead of the domestic window deadline.

He has proved himself at Championship level and only last season scored seven times on loan at Bournemouth in the Premier League.

The 17-cap Wales global spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Pride Park, scoring an impressive 15 Championship goals in 40 appearances.

The Reds failed to offload Wilson during the worldwide transfer window as they could not find any takers for the winger, who they value at £20m.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has stated that Championship clubs Derby, Forest, Cardiff and Norwich all want to secure the services of the Wales worldwide winger on a loan deal.

CFMEU state secretary Mick Buchan said "we're not going to leave any rock unturned to get to the outcome of what's happened". A third worker inside the building at the university's Bentley campus was also injured after falling about 10 metres.

However, despite his fine form during his loan spells, Wilson has played just twice for Liverpool's senior side to date.

Wilson hasn't featured in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season and he failed to make the cut for their Champions League squad further highlighting that his immediate future seems destined to lie away from Anfield.

Wilson enjoyed a successful loan spell at Derby in 2018/19 when he helped guide the Rams to the Championship play-off final under Frank Lampard and they may be his preferred choice if he has the four to choose from.

Liverpool were recently knocked out of the Carabao Cup which was in effect Wilson's only viable route of featuring for the first-team which limits the likelihood of playing regularly under Jurgen Klopp.
