Twitter down, suffers worldwide outage

"More updates to come", Twitter's application programming interface site said.

The Verge reported that the outage was a worldwide problem, and workarounds that worked with previous Twitter outages such as scheduling tweets or using third-party apps, did not appear to work.

Multiple Gizmodo staffers reported having trouble with the service a little before 6 p.m. ET, though it appeared some staff members were still able to access the site. We've contacted the company and will update this post when there are more details available.

Twitter, already under fire from USA lawmakers and regulators, appeared to go down altogether on Thursday. Facebook? Discord? Reddit? Of course, people like Roberto Baldwin may find relief in the silence. "Twitter should be working for everyone within the next few hours".

That incident also saw more than 50,000 user reports on Down Detector, who lived in the US, Europe and Asia.

According to Al.com , "Saban has been careful with mask usage in public since the season began". That would be the greatest concern that I have.

Twitter had an outage today, and they resolved it quickly and, as far as we know, without any data breach.

"We are now investigating this issue".

There is no official update yet as of this writing, but the service is beginning to work again for certain users at least. "We had some trouble with our internal systems and don't have any evidence of a security breach or hack".

User-generated reports on Downdetector.com are skyrocketing as well, but there's no communication from the company itself as to the nature of the outrage.
