It was fair to assume that development on Borderlands 3 had wrapped up. A deep dive into the new features will be coming in the next few weeks. This second season also appears to be separate to the newly-announced fifth DLC coming later this year.

Gearbox has announced Borderlands 3 Season Pass 2, which will include two new add-on packs called Designer's Cut and Designer's Cut. It will be available on November 10 and will start with the Designer's Cut DLC. Season Pass 2 will go on sale on November 10 alongside Designer's Cut. These two DLCs won't be story add-ons in the manner of the first season's worth of add-ons. Plus, players get brand new looks for all four Vault Hunters. The first of these two add-ons, the Designer's Cut, will usher in "totally new ways to play" the game through new, additional skill trees for each of its Vault Hunters, as well as a new standalone game mode called "Arms Race", and other content. These new trees will be revealed in a series of livestreams, starting on the 20th of October.
