Kristen Bell says husband Dax Shepard is "doing really great" almost one month after he announced that he had relapsed following 16 years of sobriety.

She explained:"He is in fact doing very great..." The thing that I love about Dax would be... he managed to inform me and inform us now and say, 'We want another strategy.' We've got a strategy: when he must take medicine for any reason, I need to administer it. She said that Shepard had no qualms with coming to her to admit that the couple needs a "stronger plan" to tackle his recovery. Dax was involved in August in a motorcycle accident after which he is getting a relapse through pain medication.

"I will continue to stand by him because he's very, very worth it", she smiled. "Sometimes it's substance abuse". "One of the main reasons I love him, he's addicted to growth, he's addicted to growth".

The 40-year-old Good Place actress revealed just how Dax told her about his relapse and their new plan going forward. "Sometimes it's anxiety and depression, sometimes it's drug abuse", Bell told DeGeneres, asking for help from her husband and appreciating that he could be honest about his struggles.

"He's addicted to evolving", she explained.

"He said, 'I don't want to risk this family, and I did".

She continued explaining that she, as "a queer, Hispanic woman", will not "silence (her) views/beliefs in order to please" fans. In the music video, Lovato had a diverse group of people who lip synced or used sign language to perform lyrics.

Things are looking up for Shepard though.

Kristen Bell, for her part, also seems to be taking a level-headed approach to the issue, knowing that everyone has stuff they have to take care of themselves. "I did, so we'll put new things to ensure it never happens again", he said. "I will continue to stand by him because he's very, very worth it". "I'm on them all day", Shepard said.

"I felt so awful about the lying", Shepard said then.

"Armchair Expert, called Day 7, that Shepard spoke about relapsing." data-reactid="40" It was on the September 25 episode of Armchair Expert, called Day 7, that Shepard spoke about relapsing.

An episode I hoped I'd never have to record, but one I felt I owed to all the lovely Armcheries, who have been on this ride with me for the last couple years.
