With this in mind, we've made a decision to push Kate Bishop's Operation launch back a bit, out of October.

As a matter of fact, the game recently experienced a massive dip in active Steam players due to the recurring issues that have been encountered in MARVEL's Avengers, which led to matchmaking issues that ruined the experience for players who are still playing the game.

The developer does mention that its main focus at the moment is to have a "fixed, predictable patching cycle" as the game has seen its fair share of bugs.

Thanks to backwards compatibility, it will be possible to play Marvel's Avengers in the new generation later this year, however, without the significant improvements that the PS5 or Series X hardware can provide.

You can find the full statement here from the head of Crystal Dynamics, Scot Amos.

Census Deadline Moved Up To Early Friday Morning
Lupardo says many people had concerns about opening up their doors to census takers during the height of the pandemic. Susan Housel, Volunteer Collier County Census Committee, says originally it was extended to October 31st.

Why is the Marvel's Avengers PS5 and Xbox Series X Versions Delayed?

We don't know exactly how many copies have been sold, but chances are that either Square Enix or Crystal Dynamics will soon be giving us a more accurate number of units sold.

Square Enix has posted a lengthy "State of the Game" update post for Marvel's Avengers, outlining current plans for the game, a bonus to players, as well as some details on incoming updates. The next planned story expansion and new character, Kate Bishop, will no longer release this month. This delay does mean that Clint/Hawkeye is also delayed a bit later into 2021.

According to the information that Piscatella gathered, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics' take on the Earth's Mightiest Heroes has managed to beat out Nintendo's Super Mario 3D All-Stars, now sitting in the second spot, as well as Activision's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, which was actually released on the exact same day as MARVEL's Avengers.

In addition, this Marvel's Avengers patch coming to the game will include an enormous amount of new features that have been requested by fans. It's currently unclear when Kate Bishop will now arrive in Marvel's Avengers. These bundles will begin to roll out at 10am PDT / 6pm BST on October 22nd.Amos says the team is working on more features driven by community feedback, including an Avengers Initiative Ping system, an option to replay the Reassemble Campaign with all of your gear and your level, a High Contrast Mode as an accessibility feature to improve readability, default or dynamic options for Hero Icon visibility, better clarity about mission rewards, and better indicators for offscreen and ranged enemy attacks. Additionally, Clint Barton will make his way to the game later, along with 2021 introducing another hero, region, and narrative arc.
