According to the campaign, both individuals who tested positive were on a flight with Harris on October 8, but they were not in close contact with her during the flight.

He said the crew member was "more than 50 feet away" and both of them were wearing masks.

On Wednesday, Harris said "we've been very safe" in an interview with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow when asked if she feels safe campaigning during the coronavirus pandemic. Still, Harris' planned trip to North Carolina on Thursday was scrapped, and she will remain off the road until Monday, she said.

"After being with Senator Harris, both individuals attended personal, non-campaign events in the past week".

In a swipe at rival Donald Trump, Ms Harris said the Democratic campaign's response to the positive tests "obviously stands in stark contrast to you-know-who".

After a fight crew and her communications director tested positive for COVID-19, Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris has canceled all campaign travel through the weekend.

It was Woods performance in the Players Championship that really caught the eye, with rounds of 65 and 69 during the weekend. With the leaders in the US Open normally hovering around par, this produces a great opportunity for Woods to capitalize.

O'Malley Dillon further shared that an administrator of the aviation company that charters Biden's flights also tested positive.

The US president tested positive for coronavirus two weeks ago and was admitted to hospital.

Mr Biden added that he had tested negative for Covid-19 on Wednesday night.

The campaign has begun the contact tracing process to notify everyone who came into contact with the people during the time they may have been infected.

According to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon, "Senator Harris was not in close contact, as defined by the CDC, with either of these individuals during the two days prior to their positive tests; as such, there is no requirement for quarantine". All of his COVID tests have been negative as well and he will return to in-person campaigning on Friday.
