Stearns County Reports 113 New Cases, 1 More Death from COVID-19

The county's accelerated rate of COVID-19 transmission has moved it from the yellow zone to orange, based on a metric developed by the Harvard Global Health Initiative to assess coronavirus risk levels.

The state Department of Health reported 460 new cases and 19 deaths on Monday to give the state 98,661 cases with 2,258 deaths.

This makes 28 new total cases (27 positive and one presumptive) since last Sunday, for a total of 315 with COVID-19.

The remaining 496 cases are spread across 21 counties.

Albany County, home to the University of Wyoming, continues to be among the hardest hit in Wyoming with 50 new cases reported on Monday.

The patient died Sunday while being treated in a hospital outside of Richmond County.

An investigation is now being conducted into the LAPD's use of less-lethal force and the shooting that involved the officer. You can expect this area to be impacted for several hours, probably well into the morning while the detectives are here.

Since the day the rally began, the number of new cases in South Dakota has risen from about 90 a day to more than 700 a day, and deaths increased from about one a day to about 10 a day. "We have given 28 days (for the Stage 2 restrictions) with the first group of hot zones and now York (Region) one week later and we would like to see that (cases) down quite a bit". The county's testing rate per 1,000 people was 266.2.

The seven-day rolling average of new cases now stands at 732.7. The region's positivity rate increased from 8.4% to 8.5%.

According to county data, the city of DeKalb reports between 1,071 to 1,075 cases.

Of the latest cases, 70% are under 45 years of age, while the median age is 30 years old. Numbers vary between state and health departments because of data lags.

As of midnight Saturday, 17 October, the HPSC has been notified of 1,283 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

There are now 11,687 test-positive cases since the start of the pandemic in B.C. 9,753 people have recovered since March. There have been 6,824,237 tests performed.
