‘Borat’ sequel coming in October, streaming on Amazon Prime Video

The sequel, which was recently acquired by Amazon Studios, will once again find Cohen starring as the titular character, from Kazakhstan- this time, on his way back to America after bringing his home country "great shame" following the events of the original mockumentary. So it is time to deliver a prodigious bribe to the American regime to "make benefit" Kazakhstan. In the trailer for the sequel, the film shows a Trump impersonator crashing CPAC, an annual conservative conference. On his cross-country road-trip, Borat meets real people in real situations with hysterical consequences.

To tease the release, a poster was shared by the streamer showing Sacha Baron Cohen swapping his iconic green mankini for a face mask - keeping it relevant.

Baron Cohen has drawn attention for his various political stunts in the years since "Borat". Well imagine I'm talking in precisely the same tone of confusion and slack resignation when I say, "somehow, Borat has returned".
