A mobile version of the game was announced a few days later. And of course, when Apex Legends does launch on Switch, it'll come with support for cross-platform play, our latest seasonal content, and full feature parity with the other versions of the game.

For Switch players, Apex Legends is scheduled to hit the console in 2022, though we expect it will be early in the year.

The Switch version was initially scheduled for this fall, but due to "unexpected new challenges" that 2020 has brought, a delay was necessary. Since then, fans have been patiently waiting for the game to launch on other platforms.

We can't wait to get Apex Legends in your hands (or your TV-connected dock) on the switch. And if you've previously been playing on Origin, feel free to give it a spin on Steam-all your account progression and unlocks will carry over between the two platforms. No specific release date or window has been given beyond that it will occur next year.

Respawn Entertainment will also be launching three exclusive gun charms inspired by Valve games.

Once Apex Legends arrives, most of EA's big back catalogue titles will have made their way onto Steam, although the process has taken a while.

Look out for Apex Legends on Switch sometime next year.
