While the industry's efforts to make home gaming consoles the centre of family entertainment have had their bumps and weird spots - is anyone still using an Xbox One Digital TV Tuner? - the reality of 2020 is that it would be pretty unusual if the PS5 didn't support a wide array of streaming services out of the box.

Set to ship starting November 12, the PS5's initial lineup will include apps for Apple TV, Disney Plus, Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, Hulu, Amazon's Twitch, and WarnerMedia's Crunchyroll anime service. These streaming apps include Apple TV, Netflix, Disney+, and more.

The head of global parent development and relations, Phil Rosenberg, shared through a blog post that popular streaming apps will be available on the PlayStation 5 at launch. More apps will be added to the list the future.

No new positive COVID-19 tests for Raiders ahead of Week 7
None of them were placed on the COVID-19 list. "You all know we've seen a lot of weird things around here in my seven years". The Raiders held practice on Wednesday without their starting five as they prepare for Sunday's home game against Tampa Bay.

With a deeply integrated Twitch experience on PS5, you can now watch or livestream your favourite gameplay and chat live about the best moments with fellow gamers throughout the many diverse and dynamic communities. On the other hand, users will be able to broadcast and share their gameplay directly on their YouTube channel.

The gaming console will be available with the streaming apps during the launch itself. You won't need to download any of the entertainment apps through the PS Store, they will simply be there in the Media section of the UI. Also, the new Control Center makes controlling music easier.

Additionally, Sony says that it will have a new Media Remote available for the PS5 at launch, but it provided no pricing information. Luckily, for those that have secured a pre-order for the upcoming PlayStation 5 console, it looks like it'll launch with streaming services pre-loaded. The remote has built-in play/ pause buttons, fast forward and fast rewind, volume adjustment, and power options. It's called the PS5 media remote and will have dedicated buttons for Netflix, Disney Plus and Spotify.
