Antonio's 18th-minute strike, hooking Vladimir Coufal's cross over his shoulder despite the attentions of five defenders, was only the second goal West Ham had managed in six fixtures against the same opponents at the London Stadium - City had racked up 22 over the previous five.

"We started really well".

Phil Foden replaced Aguero and had a swift impact, lifting City from a tepid first-half display and clipping home a 51st-minute equaliser.

"In the second half we were better and scored early".

"The games we play with the bench, with one or two from the Academy, of course there is plenty of quality - I am not complaining about that", he added.

"We have created enough".

"I'm not the type who can predict the future".

"It was odd, I actually think we can play much better but I'm really pleased with a point", said Moyes. But we have a lot to struggle for for many reasons. Because as much as we don't want to see players get injured.

Foden was also gutted not to have won the match. "That's my part I have to do on the pitch and I was happy I could help today".

He equalised in the 51st minute with a sharp near-post finish, and City dominated thereafter but could not find a victor, with Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez coming the closest.

He did not know how long his star striker would be sidelined for.

City's next game is on Tuesday against Marseille in the Champions League. But it was brilliant character from the players again.

Pep Guardiola's side have received some criticism of late, especially after losing to Leicester and drawing with Leeds, but they still have a very strong squad.

"I would prefer to have results but we have to analyse where we are".

City ended the game with 70% possession but it was hard to make a case that they deserved the three points as their stuttering start to the league season continued.
