Gareth Bale feels fantastic to be back at Spurs

The Spanish media did little to hide their delight as Spurs threw away a three goal lead to draw 3-3, claiming the winger to be "cursed". 'You want to be loved, appreciated, and to come back here, I'll give everything for the shirt'.

Bale, too, had his moment before the half-hour mark, forcing Andrade to put through his own net with a low, outside-of-the-boot cross at the end of a sweeping move started by Sergio Reguilon's brilliant surge forward.

Although he played a key role in Tottenham's second goal on his first start since returning, Bale should have much more to offer once he builds up match fitness in the coming weeks.

"He'll want to play and that's where the management team will be pulling him back with the amount of games".

"This is a great squad that has a lot of depth, hopefully, we can use that to our advantage".

Lucas opened the scoring after 18 minutes and Gareth Bale's pass was turned by Andrade into his own net nine minutes later, while Son added a late third to ensure a winning start for Tottenham to their Group J campaign. "It is always good to have a competition to keep you on your toes".

Chilwell Delighted with Chelsea's Goalless Draw Against 'very Good Attacking Side' Sevilla
Speaking after Tuesday's goalless draw with Sevilla , Pulisic said: "Fitness-wise I feel great". When you've got that feeling fresh in your mind, it's really important that you get over it.

"He played well but he can do better", Mourinho said. It is my task.

Mourinho was extremely happy with the debutant, and he suggested that the striker can do even better.

Boss Jose Mourinho refused to blame the collapse on Bale though, and now, back at a place where fans are excited to see him play, he is ready to kick on and get more wins. It is like a mini pre-season for me and I am trying to get minutes into the legs.

Here's how some Spurs players reacted on Twitter after the game.

"Considering the circumstances and that it was his first match, I'm really happy".
