'Selena: The Collection' Unveils First Trailer

After the major success of the 1997 Selena, which earned star Jennifer Lopez a Golden Globe nomination and launched the actress-singer to fame, how could the Netflix series compare? "Selena: The Series" will premiere December 4 on Netflix. On Monday, Netflix released a full-length trailer for its Selena Quintanilla-Pérez bio-series.

The first full trailer for the upcoming Netflix biographical program "Selena: The Series" is a wistful celebration of a star on the rise.

Christian Serratos ("The Strolling Lifeless") will play the late artist, whereas Madison Taylor Baez will play a younger Selena. You'll see her coming of age as she transforms into the incredibly confident superstar everyone knows and loves. It follows the titular singer Selena.

As the trailer continues, the relationship between Selena and her sister Suzette is highlighted as well as Selena's brother A.B.'s desire to write more music.
