It will be available globally on iOS 12.2 or later and Android 6.0 or later mobile devices and is promising to offer a much smoother experience than what has come before.

Continuing down the line of PlayStation exclusives getting a patch, Days Gone update 1.70 October 28 patch has been released and its a rather big update. As a result, the PS Messages app will be discontinued. Some games will receive various improvements - increased loading speed, improvements and more stable frame rates, some will receive dynamic 4K resolution, as well as a number of new features of the PS5 user interface, which will be discussed later.

The PS Messages app has been integrated into the PS App, making it easier to keep in contact with friends. The app allows you to download games and add-ons to your PS4 or PS5.

PlayStation also highlights special PS5 features, such as the ability to remote launch games, manage your consoles storage, and sign into the PS5 via the app. The PlayStation Store on the current iteration of the app opens a new browser-based section that isn't technically part of the app itself. Just like the PS5 OS natively integrating the PlayStation Store into the system, the PS App is doing the same. You can buy digital copies of games for both and start downloads. However, given that all PlayStation consoles have received hardware revisions down the line (PSone, PSTwo, PS3 Slim, PS3 Super Slim and PS4 Slim) there's a good chance PS5 will not break that trend. This feature is the one that has me the most excited, with a lot of room for cool interconnectivity between your phone and the console. Through the Explore tab, you would have found out about this new PlayStation App update rather quickly.

While not confirmed by Sony yet, it appears that the company is going back to prep old titles for the PS5 launch as many first party games have recieved updates out of the blue.
