Bollywood actor Asif Basra found dead in Himachal Pradesh

Bollywood actor Asif Basra allegedly committed suicide on Thursday at Dharamshala (Dharamshala) in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. "RIP Asif Basra", the Band Bajaa Baraat star shared. "Shine on wherever you are Asif Basra. and illuminate our path through these trying times and beyond #AsifBasra". He had said he would go there every year as he found peace there. One of his first major theatre appearances was as Horatio in 1991 in Salim Ghouse's production of Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Kapadia said that over the years, he and Basra became "learning buddies" while attending Urdu classes at Mumbai University. Anushka Sharma, producer of the web-series Paatal Lok, in which Asif Basra starred earlier this year, wrote: "My honest condolences and prayers with the family and loves ones".

Asif Basra was best-known for starring in films like Black Friday, Parzania, Jab We Met, Ek Villain, Fanney Khan, Roy and Hichki, among others.
