The tech giant recently confirmed its plans to officially extend the company work-from-home option for all employees until July 2021.

With the announcement, Google became the first major USA company to establish an extended timeline for employees to return to work as the coronavirus continues to bite down on the U.S. First, it was until July, but as the number of cases in the U.S. continued to increase drastically, Google pushed that date back to September 2020.

Israeli operatives killed al Qaeda's No. 2 leader in Iran in August
A U.S. official declined to confirm any of the details in the Times story or say whether there was any United States involvement. Al-Qaeda's second in command was secretly killed by Israeli forces in Iran three months ago, according to The New York Times .

The work-from-home option applies to employees at the company's headquarters in Mountain View, Calif., as well as in other parts of the United States, the United Kingdom and India, according to the report. The company had earlier already decided that most of its employees would be working from home till the end of 2020.

Google is reportedly expected to notify employees of the extended policy as soon as Monday, affecting workers in most of its offices, including the U.S., U.K., India, Brazil, and other countries.

But new guidelines mean Google's biggest offices will remain largely unoccupied through June 2021. The move will impact almost all of the approximate 200,000 full-time and contract employees.
