Benji Reed, SpaceX's director of crew mission management, said it revives regular crewed launches to the space station from the United States and a continual Crew Dragon presence at the International Space Station. Fortunately, the Crew Dragon uses only touchscreen controls, which is good since we know how much Baby Yoda loves flipping switches.

"This is another historic moment - it seems like every time I come to Kennedy [Space Center] we're making history, and this is no different", NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said in a pre-launch news conference on Friday.

The crew led by Hopkins, an Air Force colonel, includes physicist Shannon Walker and Navy Cmdr. and rookie astronaut Victor Glover, who will be the first Black astronaut to spend an extended period aboard the space station - a full five to six months. "But we're not done yet". The wind and waves need to be within limits in case something goes wrong during the launch and the capsule needs to make an emergency splashdown.

Glover was born in Pomona and graduated from Ontario High School.

President-elect Joe Biden tweeted out his congratulations to the team on their successful launch.

A short time later, President Donald Trump tweeted "A great launch!" before claiming that NASA "was a closed up disaster when we took over". @NASA was a closed up disaster when we took over. "Now it is again the "hottest", most advanced, space center in the world, by far!"

OnePlus 9 smartphone showed up in the first renders
OnePlus is said to be working on a similar design as Samsung Galaxy S20 series, the same which Galaxy S21 series will sport. If this holds, however, it hints that OnePlus doesn't intend to revolutionize its phones - at least, not on the outside.

The SpaceX Crew-1 mission lifted off at 7.27 pm EST on Sunday (5.57 am on Monday India time) from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The Dragon capsule is carrying a variety of scientific hardware and materials for experiments, including a food physiology study to examine the effect of diet on the immune system during space travel and a student-designed "Genes in Space" experiment of how spaceflight affects brain function. Along with SpaceX, the aerospace giant Boeing is working with Nasa to expand the market and start a new era of human spaceflight under a public-private partnership model where Nasa contracts out routine flights to the space station to private companies.

While successful and hailed as a historic rejuvenation of USA spaceflight, that mission was technically just a demonstration flight, showing off the capabilities of the Crew Dragon.

When the Crew Dragon separated from its Falcon 9 rocket, "the Child" can be seen bopping around the cockpit while the four astronauts are safely strapped in. The capsule used in the mission, named "Resilience", was built to accommodate four astronauts instead of the two who flew in the May launch.

NASA is looking to the Crew-1 mission to end the country's reliance on Russian Federation to access the ISS.
