Coronavirus Ireland: 378 new cases and one further death

Statewide totals from the illness caused by the coronavirus are at 127,731 cases and 2,519 deaths, up from 125,498 cases and 2,519 deaths on Friday.

On Sunday, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported an additional 6,058 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The country had witnessed the most critical week as major COVID-19 metrics including the daily case increased, seven-day average daily increase and hospitalisations reached new highs this week.

The ministry also reported that of 78 persons now hospitalised with the virus, 21 are classified as being moderately ill, while six are classified as being critically ill.

Sherburne County reported one death and 98 cases.

69,594 cases are now active out of 312,369 total cases since the pandemic began (22% are active).

"A large part of the population do not believe that COVID-19 is real, even as they die from it", he noted.

Nearly 77% of people in Wisconsin who tested positive for the virus, or 240,075 cases, have since recovered.

There has been 45 new Covid-19 cases over the same period. Yakima County has 12,456 cases and 283 deaths.

The WHO's figures for Saturday showed that 660,905 coronavirus cases were reported to the United Nations health agency, setting a new high watermark. Twenty-one deaths have occurred in the last week. The state had over 200 each day the past week, heading into Sunday.
