It's about time Bond was handed to a competent game studio, and if the Hitman franchise is to be used as a basis, we're confident IO Interactive will do the brand justice.

IO Interactive is about to tease a new project via their official YouTube channel and the ceremony is scheduled for 2 PM UK time.

There's precious few other details about this project, with a simple and effective teaser to announce the project, as you can see here.

Man United's Alex Telles available after testing negative for Covid
Telles will now be available for selection when United welcome West Brom to Old Trafford for a crucial Premier League encounter on Saturday.

As flawless a pairing as a tuxedo and a Walther PPK, IO Interactive, the makers of Hitman, have revealed that they are making a James Bond game. It's actually not the first since Activision's Quantum of Solace featured parts of Casino Royale, which is a James Bond origin story. Project 007 is a working title, and will feature a completely original Bond tale as the secret agent attempts to earn their 00 status. IO are also recruiting talent from around the world for this game, so hopefully it'll be a banger. Then it whips around showing the iconic gun barrel from the opening of (nearly) all 007 movies as the James Bond theme music plays over everything, which isn't much to go off of.

"Project 007" is now in active development at IO Interactive's offices in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmo, Sweden, reported Variety. There's nearly nothing to go by in the post itself, but we do know the Denmark-based studio has something to announce this very week - tomorrow, in fact.

What do you think of Project 007?
