Former Barcelona forward Rivaldo believes that the new Blaugrana board will fail to convince Lionel Messi to stay at the club and the Argentina worldwide will depart the Camp Nou at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

Messi's devastating phrase ("I'm exhausted of always being the problem of everything at the club") returns to shake up a current situation that was calm after the victory against Betis and the national team break.

While speaking with France Football as per Mundo Deportivo, Olhats said: "Antoine arrived at a club with serious problems where Messi controls everything".

Commenting on Lopes' remark upon his Wednesday arrival at Barcelona's airport, Messi said: "The truth is that I'm exhausted of always being the problem of everything at the club".

The Argentine had paid a customs tax when he landed on a private flight from Peru and exploded: "On top of that, after a 15-hour flight, I find myself in the hands of the tax authorities".

But Messi's latest remarks will only increase speculation that he could leave the LaLiga giants when his contract ends next summer. He is both emperor and monarch and did not see Antoine's arrival with good eyes.

Griezmann has always insisted that his relationship with Messi is good. Either you are with him or you are against him.

The two combined to good effect on the pitch in Barca's final game before the worldwide break, with Messi's dummy setting up a goal for Griezmann. He reportedly even made a deal with Manchester City, but Barcelona didn't let him leave.

Messi could be on his way out of Barcelona soon after he chose to perform a U-turn in the window just gone because the club had blocked his transfer by demanding his astronomical release clause of £625m was met.

The Premier League outfit are considering making an offer to sign Messi mid-season for a fee rather than waiting until he becomes a free agent next summer. Barca are now fighting a debt of £440m.
