"These are simple truths that should provide confidence in our elections". "As we did for the presidential transition in 2017, this process is being done in close consultation with the National Archives and Records Administration".

Brian Kemp certified President-elect Joe Biden's win in the state Friday but called for another hand recount.

The hand count for the audit produced some slight differences from the previous machine tally, but no individual county showed a variation in margin larger than 0.73%, and the variation in margin in 103 of the state's 159 counties was less than 0.05%, the secretary of state's office said.

Furthermore, only 35 percent of Trump voters said they were "very confident" that their ballot was counted accurately at all-whether in person or mail-in-while 82 percent of Biden voters said that they were very confident of this.

It received more bad news when Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced that a manual recount and audit of all ballots cast in the southern state had determined that Biden was the victor. Biden leads Trump by 150,000 votes in MI (15x times the 10,000 margin that Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by in 2016), and poll analysts do not see a small number of defective or invalidated votes overturning the result.

While the Biden Campaign has said "the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House", and former President Barack Obama joked in a late night show about Navy Seals going in to evict Trump from the White House, the USA national security establishment and the military has so far steered clear of any hint of interference should the President decide to dig in. Trump's campaign has suffered a string of legal defeats and appears to have failed to convince key fellow Republicans in states that he lost, such as MI, to buy into his unfounded conspiracy theories.

Sweden finds coronavirus in mink industry workers
The PM has defended the decision to cull the country's mink , saying it was based on the assessment of health authorities. All minks on farms in Ireland are to be culled over the next few weeks because of Covid-19 concerns .

But Trump and his most vehement supporters maintain that once all of the fraud is exposed, he will be pronounced the new victor.

Senior Republicans have remained largely silent about Trump's unsubstantiated claims of election fraud or have defended his right to seek redress, but pressure was building after several voiced doubts on Friday.

"(As) legislative leaders, we will follow the law and follow the normal process regarding Michigan's electors", Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey and House of Representatives Speaker Lee Chatfield said in a joint statement.

The president provided no evidence to back up his claim. "The right way is to compile the evidence and mount legal challenges in our courts".

"State and local officials and poll workers throughout the country really stepped up".

Mr Trump, however, has so far refused to concede or allow an official transition to begin, as is customary. "Because President Trump refuses to concede and is delaying the transition, we have to fund it ourselves and need your help", he wrote, with an attached donation site.
