Internet is down, and so there is a lot that we do not know.

Chief of Staff of the National Defence Force Berhanu Jula said Dr.Tedros has been lobbying political and military support for TPLF by abusing his post as Director-General of WHO.

Redwan Hussein, spokesman for an Ethiopian committee handling the conflict, said that "our defence forces are moving forward and closing in on Mekele", Tigray's regional capital. He says he aims to share authority more fairly.

The TPLF effectively ruled Ethiopia for decades as the strongest force in a multi-ethnic coalition, until Abiy took power two years ago.

Global calls for peace have escalated along with the fighting, and the African Union on Friday named three former national presidents as mediators in the conflict.

In a counter move against Dr. Tedros' activities, the Worldwide Ethiopian Civic Associations Network (WE-CAN) which is an umbrella organization of over 57 civic groups from around the world, opposed a move by members of the US House and Senate to push for a ceasefire in Ethiopia's Tigray region. The latest war has pitted the central government against one of the most heavily militarised regions.

For the second time in a week, rockets fired by Tigray rebels have hit the city of Bahir Dar in the Amhara region.

Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes to release duet 'Monster' tonight
Mendes explained that Bieber was "Elvis to me" when he had just started singing, so the collaboration meant so much to him. Talking about Monster , Justin and Shawn speak about "tripping", "falling" and "breaking down" in their new song.

"We believe that the measures taken by the government of Ethiopia are justified and judicious, and as a purely internal affair, the U.S. should desist from putting pressure on the Prime Minister".

"At this point, neither party, from what we hear, is interested in mediation", the top US diplomat to Africa, US Assistant Secretary of State Tibor Nagy, told reporters on Thursday evening. Roads are blocked and airports closed. Numerous makeshift camps set up in Sudan are overcrowded and refugees have been struggling with unsanitary conditions, limited access to water, and food.

He added that within Ethiopia, the number of internally-displaced people was growing daily. We made it out, we had no food, we were hungry.

The fighting also threatens to suck in or destabilise Ethiopia's neighbours, which include Sudan, Somalia and Eritrea, whose capital came under rocket attack from the TPLF over the weekend.

Almost half of the refugees are children, and the United Nations called the conditions they are facing "extremely harsh". Eritrea has remained largely silent while the TPLF accuses it of entering the conflict at Ethiopia's request.

The ministerial notification does not specify how many people have sought refuge in the Sudan since last November 4th, when the military offensive began, but some sources estimate that the figure rises to 30,000, including around 12,000 children.
