That includes 59 patients struggling in intensive care or critical care.

There are 7,732 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.

The latest fatalities leave the province's death toll at 348.

A total of 28,348 people have tested positive since the pandemic began in B.C., 19,605 have fully recovered. "This virus doesn't pause, though, when we're exhausted and frustrated and we want it to be over".

Since we last reported, we have had 174 new cases of COVID-19 in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 678 in the Fraser Health region, 11 in the Island Health region, 49 in the Interior Health region, 29 in the Northern Health region and no new cases of people who reside outside of Canada.

"Protecting our workplaces, hospitals and schools is the important thing we must focus on now", she said. Currently, 10,283 people are under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases. Henry continues to say we need to do our part and show support for B.C. health-care workers.

Health officials said they've received many questions from people trying to understand B.C.'s temporary public health order and how it applies to their lives. The health agency says anyone who visited The Morrissey at 1227 Granville Street on either November 12 or 13, between 6 p.m.to 11 p.m. on both days, may have been exposed to the virus and should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19.

She urged people to forego any social activities with friends or family members from outside their immediate household and to follow the new orders to that effect she imposed last week.

"Right now we have a distance to go and we don't know yet where the finish line is", said Henry.
