The legal notice has been sent over her tweet allegedly targeting farmers protesting against new farm laws.

In a recent tweet, actor Kangana Ranaut had falsely identified an elderly lady at the ongoing farmers protest as Shaheen Bagh activist Bilkis Bano, aka Bilkis Dadi.

If you're late to the party, Desi Twitter chose singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh as their GOAT on Thursday after the actor chose to fire shots one after another aimed at Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut in shuddh Punjabi. "We demand an unconditional apology from her for her insensitive remarks on farmers' protest", Manjinder Singh Sirsa, president of DSGMC, said in a tweet.

For the uninitiated, thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and other states have marched towards Delhi to protest against the new farm laws for a couple of days.

She retweeted the post with pictures of two elderly women, including Bilkis Bano, and wrote that the "same Dadi" who featured in Time Magazine was "available in 100 rupees", a comment that has particularly irked the members of the Punjabi community. In the video, Mohinder talks about her association with the farmers' protest and also shuts down Kangana's claim that she could be "hired for Rs 100".

Earlier, Kangana had a verbal spat with Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh over the alleged controversial tweet, which was later deleted. And now singer Mika Singh regrets supporting Kangana when her house was demolished by the BMC after an altercation with the Maharashtra Government.

"And even otherwise, she has no right to defame any old woman for her political mileage", it said. If you have any ettiquete then apologise.

"I used to have enormous respect for @KanganaTeam, I even tweeted in support when her office was demolished. Shame on you", Mika Singh tweeted.

When Dosanjh corrected Ranaut and shared a BBC interview of the 73-year-old farmer as proof, the Queen actor called him "Karan Johar ka paltu" and asked him to "stop this right now".

The argument continued, with Dosanjh asking Ranaut whether she became a yes-man to everyone she worked with.
