Kalamazoo County launches COVID-19 vaccine registration form for Phases 1A, 1B

The Florida Department of Health in Leon County (DOH-Leon) announced several new developments Thursday in their effort to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine.

Phase 1B, the next priority, is broken into four tiers. "As we roll forward, vaccines will become available to more and more Leon County residents", health officials wrote.

More than 110,000 Georgians had received the vaccine as of Wednesday evening, according to the DPH's website.

"We know that the people who work there are there to provide the best support they can to the residents", she said.

"You put a pandemic on top of that and have really serious staff shortages that result from workers being off with COVID infections or being isolated".

In addition, nothing is needed when someone arrives to get a vaccine.

"As of right now, for the few 1,000 doses that have occurred here in Bay County, we haven't had any problems at all", said Strasz. Health officials said the state still needs to get through Phase 1A before moving on to 1B.
